Once logged into the Your Classroom page, teachers will be able to view all available quizzes. To view content, select the Start button next to any quiz; however, DO NOT ANSWER AND SUBMIT THE QUIZ. Submitting the quiz will move it from the Pending to the Completed tab, where preview is unavailable.

To refine the list of quizzes listed on Your Classroom page, enter all or part of a quiz title into the search box (for example Lord of the Flies, Lord, or Flies). When looking for a specific quiz, such as Multiple-Choice Practice #5 from the AP* Version of Lord of the Flies, enter the alphanumeric quiz code, such as AP02 P5 or the practice quiz number along with the beginning title, such as P5 Lord, into the search box.

To add students, modify student contact data, grade student free-response answers, or view grades from for completed quizzes, select Administration in the drop-down menu next to your name.

To view a list of practice quizzes assigned to each class, click on the class name. APO Pro Your Classroom - Class 3

Users

The Users tab in the Administration display lays out links and buttons for each student user, such as reviewing grades, changing password, editing contact information or class enrollment (Edit Info, see below), and emailing login information.

The Edit Info button allows teachers to add or modify student contact information and enrollment. To enroll the student in a class period, or change their class enrollment, locate the Group tab below the name and address data fields, and check/uncheck the appropriate class period. Students may be individually assigned specific practice quizzes in the Quiz tab.

Groups

The Groups tab found in the Administration display provides links to group reports.

Group tab

The Completed Report link displays a list of completed assignments with links to view the Score Report for each completed assignment. FRQ assignments (free-response questions) may be graded by the teacher from this report. See Detailed Score Reports and Assigning Grades to Free-Response Questions for step-by-step instructions.

The Grade Report displays a list of students and their grades in typical gradebook format. Detailed score reports may be accessed here as well (click on the numeric score in the Point column, then the View link).

The Join code and Email Group button are also found in the Groups tab. The Join code is a unique class Group identifier that students can use to self-enroll into their online class Group to receive assignments. To email the class Group their login information, select the Email Group button. Groups may be assigned practice quizzes in the Quizzes tab.

Enrolling Students

Method 1:  Self Enrollment

The simplest way to add students to your Teacher Group in APO Pro is to ask your students to use our self-enrollment feature. Students will need the Login URL and the Join Code for their class Group.

Self-Enrollment Login Page

At your school's APO Pro login page, students should click on the link to Self Register, then complete the self-registration form and select the Register button. Students may then use their email and password to log into their APO Pro My Classroom page to view available assignments.

Method 2: Add or Modify Users through Teacher Administration

Teachers may also add students to their class Group in bulk by logging into their APO Pro account and selecting the "Administration" link in the drop-down menu next to their name. Look for the Users tab in the Administration display and select the Add New Users button.

Follow the 3-step instructions to create any number of students login accounts. If you have a list of student email addresses in a Word or Excel document, try cutting & pasting this information during Step 1.

3-Steps

Once your student users have been created, you can email your students their login information by selecting the Groups tab and clicking on the Email Group button.

Sorting report data

Because the Pending and Completed Reports list individual quiz assignments for each student on a separate line, the list may become very long and cumbersome. One simple way to more easily locate a specific assignment is to re-order line items by clicking the column header -- clicking and double-clicking toggles the list from ascending to descending order. To view students alphabetically, simply click once on the Last Name column header.

Refining the list

To filter list items down to a specific quiz or student, use the Search box feature. Entering AP01 FRQ1, for example, will refine the list to only The Scarlet Letter free-response question #1. This is particularly helpful for locating student essays in the Completed Report when teachers are ready to assign grades and add comments to FRQ practice quizzes.

Detailed Score Reports and Assigning Grades to Free-Response Questions

Teachers can access detailed information about each student's performance on any given quiz by locating the View link in the Completed Report display. The Completed Report may be accessed from either the Groups or Users tab.

Downloading and Sharing Grades

APO Pro allows teachers to download report data into an excel file which can be stored offline.

Another way to easily access grades is to share the report's URL address. This allows anyone with the URL link to view the report anytime, bypassing the lengthy procedure of logging in and then navigating to the grade report. This technique may be especially useful for educators who occasionally need to share student progress with administration, or who ask a teaching assistant to record their student grades. Teachers may also find it helpful to bookmark this URL in their browser for quick access to grades only.

Note: The Share feature provides a URL link to the gradebook only; it will not permit complete access to a teacher account.
