Advanced/AP* World History

Our World History line was created to provide history teachers with supplemental materials that combine content review with Advanced Placement exam preparation and formative assessment. Designed to fit seamlessly into normal daily lesson plans, the series uniquely offers advanced placement test preparation over content specific to each teaching unit.
Each World History workbook in the 24-book topical series includes:
- 70 multiple choice questions that replicate the types of questions found on the AP* World History exam
- 1 DBQ and 4 free-response questions that replicate the types of essay questions found on the AP* World History exam
- Graphic organizers designed to aid students in organizing and analyzing course content
- A section called "Teaching the DBQ" that includes worksheets and organizational tools to help you teach your students how to extract, organize, and analyze information from documents
- Teaching activities that can be adapted to a wide variety of WH content
- Answer keys
- Detailed answer explanation for each multiple-choice question
- Detailed information sheets to aid in evaluating each free-response and DBQ question
- A generic scoring rubric for grading free-response question and document-based essays
- A free-response peer evaluation form
In additionl to our 24 topic-based guides, a World Speeches workbook has been created to complement our AP* English World Speeches resource guide. This companion resource guide includes the same famous speeches that are currently available in our AP* English guide, but with AP-style multiple-choice and free-response questions for the advanced World History classroom, thus allowing History and English teachers a valuable opportunity to team teach these landmark historical speeches.
The AP* World History series is available for purchase individually or in multi-book sets.
Each Applied Practice U.S. History resource guide is designed for use as a classroom set; the copyright permits unlimited reproduction of student pages. Teacher pages may not be shared or reproduced.
