For advanced courses, such as Pre-AP/AP, IB, and Honors programs, we offer resources in the Pre-AP/AP* format. These workbooks contain challenging multiple-choice and free-response questions that have the look and feel of an Advanced Placement test. The content covered in each workbook is specific to either a literary selection (English) or a unit-based topic (Science and Social Studies). Additional teaching aids such as vocabulary lists, strategies for teaching, detailed answer explanations, and graphic organizers, are also included.

For regular-to-advanced courses with college-readiness goals, we offer English resources in three formats: SAT*, ACT*, and Essential Skills PLUS. The SAT* and ACT* workbooks contain questions styled after these specific college entrance exams. Essential Skills PLUS is designed to meet the needs of teachers and students who prefer exposure to a variety of standardized question styles. These resource guides include some practice in both AP* and SAT* formats, as well as reading and writing practice utilizing paired passages, Cloze passages, reading for information, graphic organizers, and more. All questions cover content from a specific literary work.

For regular courses working toward state proficiency goals, we offer English resources in six state formats as well as a basic Essential Skills version. These workbooks include questions styled after specific question formats used in state-mandated skills tests, while covering content from a specific literary work.

Currently, we offer state proficiency-style workbooks in the following formats: TAKS for Texas, CAHSEE for California, FCAT for Florida, OGT for Ohio, SOL for Virginia, PSSA for Pennsylvania, and Essential Skills for all others. Essential Skills PLUS workbooks also offer an array of question styles suitable for reviewing basic skills with additional practices for the advanced classrooms.

Sample pages from most workbooks are available online by clicking on the book icon next to any product title. Sample pages are provided solely for the educators' use in prescreening classroom materials. Each sample packet includes a brief sampling of the questions and teacher resources; however, answer keys and answer explanations are not provided.
