  1. How long will it take for my order to arrive?

    Print orders may take up to 3 business days for processing and printing before leaving our warehouse. Standard shipping is serviced by Fedex Ground (3-5 days guaranteed) or UPS Ground. Please allow up to 10 business days from order date to arrival date. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional charge within the Continental U.S. You may e-mail us at info@appliedpractice.com to receive a tracking number for your order.

  2. Do you accept purchase orders?

    We do accept purchase orders from schools and school systems. You may fax your P.O. to (866) 897-6137.

  3. Can I mail in an order? Where can I find an order form?

    We do accept mailed in orders with payment information in the form of a check, credit card, or a school purchase order. You may download an order form by clicking the "Order Forms" link in the blue box on the right-hand side of this page.

  4. Do you send complimentary samples of your products?

    No. There are samples available on our website.

  5. Where are the product samples located on your website?

    If a sample is available, there will be a link next to the product title. Sample pages are provided for nearly all of our products, with the exception of those with large variety of question types, such as Core Skills PLUS. The link is a book cover graphic with a magnifying glass. Just click on the magnifying glass and a link will be provided to load sample pages into a flash player, which will may take 10-15 seconds to load, depending on your computer's speed.

  6. I've tried downloading your samples, but I just get a blank square on my screen. Why won't it work for me?

    Sample pages are loaded into an Adobe Flash player, which will appear as a small window in the middle of your screen. If the player does not appear, or the window appears to be blank even after waiting 10-15 seconds, you most likely do not have the Adobe Flash player installed on your computer. This can be downloaded at get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

  7. Who writes the Applied Practice workbooks?

    We have in-house writers and we contract with numerous free-lance writers. We contract with experienced, quality teachers and former teachers who conform to our rigid standards. Many are department heads, published writers, and readers for national standardized exams.

  8. How would I cite your publications in my AP Syllabus for the College Board?

    To cite our test prep booklets as a resource in your teaching syllabus, you should know that the titles of nearly all our publications begin with "Applied Practice in ..." Also, we do not identify individual writers by name, so the author should be cited simply as "Applied Practice, Ltd." Our headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas, and the year of copyright will vary from one title to another. As a template for citing our books in MLA format, we suggest the following entry for Applied Practice in Wuthering Heights:

    Applied Practice, Ltd. Applied Practice in Wuthering Heights. Dallas: Applied Practice, Ltd., 1999.

  9. Who should I contact if I want to write for Applied Practice?

    Send an e-mail to info@appliedpractice.com. Include your resume with your contact information, your teaching experience, and a brief statement as to why you want to write for us. If you can, attach a set of study questions you have written for any book you teach.

  10. Why do you offer your products on CD-ROM as well as in hard copy and as e-books?

    Our e-book and printed workbooks are ideal for a teacher's individual classroom use. However, if multiple teachers wish to use the same material, then they are required to purchase additional workbooks. Applied Practice offers our material in digital form on CD-ROM to make it easier for campuses and districts to disseminate our material throughout their system. By loading our workbooks on a central server, customers can easily incorporate our material across a campus or district and eliminate annual replenishment needs to due loss and consumption of workbooks. Also, purchasing material in digital form may help you qualify for allocation in your technology budget.

  11. Are your digital guides the same as your printed guides?

    Whether you buy our products on CDs, as e-books, or as printed workbooks, the material inside is exactly the same. The only advantages are that the CD material is easier to disseminate and control, typically less expensive for campus-wide or district-wide adoption, and eliminates the need for future replenishment purchases.

  12. I am a school administrator and want to purchase multiple copies of the same e-book for my teachers. How will I provide each teacher with a link to download their e-book?

    Download links for each e-book license will be provided to you in your "My E-books" page (go to "My Account", then look for the yellow box on the left side of the page). You will need to click on each download link individually and choose "Save" rather than "Open". This will allow you to save each file to your computer; be sure to save each file with an original filename such as Scarlet Letter 1, Scarlet Letter 2, etc.  Once you have saved each download file to your computer, you can deliver the files to your teachers as an e-mail attachment.  Please take care to send each teacher his or her own original file!  Assigning more than one teacher to a single download license will cause confusion and may nullify some of your licenses.

  13. My school doesn't allow us to order online. Do you have a catalog from which we can order?

    You may download an order form our home page. If you are experiencing technical difficulties or would simply prefer to have a full catalog mailed to you, you may select Contact Form under the Contact Us menu and place a checkmark in the "Request Catalog" checkbox.

  14. Do you accept returns or exchanges?

    Due to the reproducible nature of our material, we do not accept returns. Please view a sample of your product available on our website prior to your purchase. In cases of obvious purchasing errors, we do allow exchanges within 14 days of purchase. Contact customer service at 866-374-3768 to request an RMA for the exchange; however, please be aware that we do charge a $12 restocking fee per item. This is to help defray the cost of shipping and extra handling.
